The Tourism and Hospitality School, Split was appointed as a Regional Centre of Competence in Tourism and Hospitality on July 20, 2018.
A Regional Centre of Competence (RCC) is a place of excellence in practical education and training where, alongside its core activity of practical education — including the implementation of work-based learning—training, professional development, and other activities are carried out to improve the quality of vocational education and training and to better align it with the needs of the economy and the labour market.
The accommodation facility Akademis, as part of the Regional Centre of Competence, in addition to providing services in tourism and hospitality, has a primary goal: to provide students of the Tourism and Hospitality School, Split with work-based learning in order to prepare them for the labour market.
